and will take care of itself. I'm not mechanically inclined
so the less I need to do the better.
The only complaint I have about it is that it doesn't come
with a cord to plug into the wall. You have to get a heavy
duty extension cord to connect it to the wall, and they
never tell you that when you are reading the product
description. For the price of this item, I think it should
come with a simple short extension cord.

(More customer reviews)This is a nice quality tire but I think that it's too narrow for anything approaching fast performance riding. I got this to match the D404 130/90 17" rear for the wheel set that I use for commuting on my '07 KLR650. The rear is big and beefy, feels great on the pavement and just barely fits on the bike without rubbing the chain guard. But this narrow front tire just doesn't have the contact patch to give me confidence for spirited street-riding. It looks like it will last forever so I guess I'm stuck with it.
For a long-lasting 21" street tire you would do considerably better with the Metzler ME880, any of the D/S options or even the OEM tire. Or you could change to a different size rim for more options. Although, hopefully, you don't have a 21" front rim to just ride on the pavement. I'm not sure why this tire exists.

I had a thick layer of gunk from all the tire gels, brake dust, and dirt on my tires and wheels that other cleaners couldnt get out , even with scrubbing. Sprayed a nice layer on it on each wheel, one by one. As I go back to the first wheel I sprayed, I can see all the gunk from the tires just roll off. Gave everything a scrub and dryed my wheels. Shines like a new penny. Gotta have plenty of this stuff.

I had to tap a different thread and replace the zert with one I had available. The latch obstructs the License plate and I received no response from the Smittybilt Company as to a solution. We received no bolts to relocate the Dole light, or electric wire for power to it. This renders the light useless.
I have not received any response to from the Smittybilt Company on these items. Their customer service sucks.
It was cheaper than the competition, but you get what you pay for. I will not order any more products Smittybilt again.

(More customer reviews)There are a confusing array of tire chains/traction control devices on the market, and even this particular company makes so many different models that it's hard to tell which ones are the best. Here's what you need to know about chains and traction control devices, and why I like the ones made by SCC. I also include some installation hints at the bottom of this review.
There are two broad types of traction control devices: Tire chains and traction control cables. Tire chains are actual chain links. Traction control cables are long pieces of metal cables, covered in a plastic coating, and designed to form a Z-pattern over your tires. The plastic coating is then surrounded by hundreds of tiny, round, metal springs. Cables are generally regarded as better because they are easier to install, last longer, are less damaging to roads, and work better with vehicles equipped with ABS. Also, according to SCC, you can safely drive with cable devices up to 30 mph, even on roads with no snow, without damaging them.
You should normally install traction control cables on your drive wheels, i.e. the wheels that actually push or pull your car forward. If the snow is really bad, though, you may have to install cables on all four wheels. Read your vehicle's owner's manual for more details on where to install your cables.
In any case, it's a really, really good idea to have TWO sets of cables in your car at all times. That way, if something breaks (murphy's law), you won't be stuck.
Within the traction control cable category, there are two general types of cables: Self-tensioning cables tighten themselves using a tensioner (which looks, feels, and operates like a rubber band) that you install when you put the cables on. Manual tensioning cables are tightened by you, and have to be re-tightened after you drive for a couple hundred feet or so. I've heard that emergency vehicles tend to use the manually adjustable models because they are allegedly safer at speeds above 30 MPH, but driving above 30 MPH for any non-emergency personnel is illegal with any kind of traction control device.
There are several advantages to the manually adjustable models. They tend to have more slack, which can make installation easier. Also, the tensioners (i.e. rubber bands) on self-adjusting cables can and do break (it happened to me today) and if they break, you can't use the cables. So, if you get a cable that has a tensioner, get extra tensioners, or better yet, an extra set of cables, just in case.
Here's a breakdown of SCC's cable products:
Z-Chain- Manually adjustable Traction Control Cable. Easy to install, but must be retightened shortly after you start driving. Very easy to install because they come with lots of slack. Often used by police and fire personnel.
Shur Grip Z/Super Z LT- Self adjusting cable. Tensioners can break so buy extras. Less slack, so can be harder to put on the car, but generally easier than Z-chains because you don't have to manually tighten and re-tighten them.
Super Z6/Z8- Newest Self adjusting cable, designed for vehicles with very little sidewall clearance. They have all the advantages and disadvantages of the Shur Grip Z. In addition, however, the connectors are a little harder to work with on this model because of their low profile.
The Z6 and Z8 models are SCC's latest models. They are designed to handle smaller clearances between the side of the tire and the car than their older models. As a result of that design, they are hand crimped during the manufacturing process (instead of machine crimped), and that results in a slightly higher MSRP. SCC's representative tells me that the cable size and metal springs are the same size as their other cable-based products, and so the only reason to not to get the Z6's over the older models (Super Z's) is that the Z6's are slightly more expensive (usually only a few dollars). I've noticed that the Z6 connectors are a little harder to work with than the Shur Grip/Super Z LT model.
On all of these models, the metal rings are made of a spring-like material, SCC says that you don't have to remove the chains as soon as you reach a paved road. Rather, as long as you drive under 30 MPH, SCC says that you can drive with the traction control cables on your car, even as you switch between plowed and non-plowed roads. Because each of the hundreds of little springs are separate pieces, even when one breaks, it just falls off, and the others work to fill-in the void.
The Z6/Z8 models also come with a very nice cloth bag that is sized properly to hold the cables. The older cable-based SCC models come with plastic containers that are too small to easily lay the cables in.
Installing the cables is relatively easy, and I'm definitely not a hands-on kind of guy. It took me about 15 minutes the very first time, and now that I've done it several times, I can get it done in under a minute per wheel. SCC has a video on their web-site that explains how to do it. You should always do a test-installation of cables before you need them to make sure that you purchased the correct size and know how to install it. It's also very useful to have some waterproof gloves handy and a towel with you, as it is often wet and cold when you need to install chains. A good choice for gloves are the long wristed rubber gloves that you can buy at the grocery store for washing dishes, or some disposal latex gloves. After you use the cables for the first time, fold each cable separately and then use a trash bag tie to keep each one together. Otherwise, the next time you need them, they'll all be tangled together.
Here are some hints on how to install these chains.
1. Read the instructions from the manufacturer and pay close attention to the safety instructions. The basics of the instructions are (1) stay safe, (2) position the cables correctly, (3) connect the upper rear connector, (4) connect the upper front connector, (5) connect the lower front connector, and (6) connect the black rubber bands.
The instructions are quite good, but they leave out a few helpful hints, which I will now share with you.
BEFORE YOU START, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE CORRECT SIDE UP! There are markings all over the cables which indicate the correct orientation. Look for them!
2. Put on some rubber dishwashing gloves and lay a towel down wherever you're going to work, or you will get very, very dirty.
3. When you slide the cables under your tires, start from a point between your front and rear tires. Slide half of the chain under your car, and then reach around from the other side of the tire to pull the cable around. Although the instructions describe a swinging slide motion, I've never seen anyone who could do that without twisting the cables up. Just pull them and things will be much easier.
4. Once the cables are around the tire, DO NOT pull the bottom connectors that hold the cables together at the bottom of the tire towards one another. Keep them as far apart as possible. If you pull them in tight, you won't be able to pull the chain high enough in the back to connect the rear upper connector, which is what you are supposed to do first.
5. When you are connecting the rear upper connector, if you can't get the rear upper connectors up above the tire so that you can see them, push the part of the cables that surround the bottom of your tire backwards and under your car a few inches. This will create slack behind the cables and allow you to pull the cables up in the back.
6. Once you have the rear upper connector connected, hooking up the front upper connector may be difficult. Try pushing the rear upper connector back so that it is laying against the inside sidewall of your tire and then pull the front upper connectors towards you as hard as you can. Don't try to pull them towards each other. While sitting, just pull them straight out, towards you, and the rest of the chains should fall into place. Then they should be easy to connect.
7. Gently pull the parts of the chain that criss-cross your tires down towards the ground so that they aren't all bunched up at the top. Look at the chain and make sure that the parts you can see, and especially the blue cable, is evenly distributed around the tire.
8. Then pull the bottom front connectors towards you (out, but not up or down) to create slack. Then connect them. Again, don't try to pull them towards one another as that makes it almost impossible to create slack.
9. On these particular cables, the upper front connector is BLACK and the bottom front connector is SILVER. When you're ready to take the cables off, if you get the wheel lined up so that the BLACK connector is on the top, it will be much easier to find and remove the rear connector (which will be opposite the black connector).

(More customer reviews)These things are an accident waiting to happen. Don't buy them unless you are absolutely certain they will work for your application. Any bend in the hose will cause them to leak. I returned from a short camping trip to find both of my inside tires completely out of air. I'm just glad that the trip was not at highway speed for any length of time. It could have been disastrous.
The description states that these are for 16" to 19" wheels. Not so. The hoses for the inside wheels are way too long for my 16" wheels on a 1994 Chevy c3500. I had to install them with a sweeping 90 degree bend in the inside hoses. Of course, that is why they leaked. You would think that the idea behind using hoses is so you could bend them.
Also, when installing the outside hoses, you need to use the supplied 90 degree fitting. The hose may be airless, but the 90 degree fitting is not, so beware.

As with all genuine Porsche parts you can only shake your head in disbelief at the price. These are, after all, simply painted plastic discs. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy these were to install. I thought I would have to remove the wheel and push the originals out from the back. Instead I used a thin, strong blade and just popped the originals off (no harm go the originals) and snapped these into place; literally a 30-second job per wheel.

(More customer reviews)I've used this lug nut wrench on my Nissan Maxima and my Saturn Vue. The wrench turns on the Saturn but for a sedan like the Maxima, it's too large to spin a full 360 degrees on the bottom lug nut and catches the pavement.
It's large diameter does provides dual leverage to easily remove a stubborn lug nut. The drop-forge make it very durable. As another review noted, for the money, they ought to be able to stamp or etch the lug nut size into the tool.
Finally, it is a big improvement over the cheap Chinese wrench that stripped my lug nuts previously.

(More customer reviews)If you follow the directions closely, the installation should go fine. I spent more time trying to figure out where to locate the alarm than the actual installation took. Be sure to have all the remotes ready when the system is initially powered on so you can get them programmed on the first try. Once installed, I noticed that the motion sensor alarm was chirping several times during each cool-down period after I rode the bike and set the alarm. Not sure if this is typical of other users, but I ended up lowering the sensitivity to the middle of the seven step range as described in the directions. This seems to help prevent the inadvertent alarms but it does take a much stronger shake to get the alarm to go off now. Probably need to raise the sensitivity a notch or two. The range on the pager is probably more like a few hundred feet if you're in a building next to the motorcycle. In an open area with scattered buildings it might be close to a quarter mile. The one feature I'd really like to see them add is a battery backup. Other than that I think it's a great product, especially at this price point, and would readily recommend it to others.

Cord was long enough to reach all tires of the car while plugged to lighter. Had to figure out how to stuff the wires back to fit into the body. Flashlight was kind of useless, it needs 3 AA batteries that should have been mentioned in the product description. If I knew that I would have bought the compressor without the attached flashlight. Overall, it works, looks nice, can't complain that much.

The torque for my travel trailer wheels is listed as 120 ft-lbs. I tried to remove a wheel with a cross wrench but did not have the strength to loosen the lug nuts. I thought that I would have to buy a cheater to get the job done. After I bought Wagen Impact wrench, it very easily removed the same lug nuts using a "Start-It" 12V battery, not the vehicle battery as the power source. With a torque rating of 271 ft-lbs, I carry the Wagen with me on every trip that I take in case I have a flat. (More customer reviews)The Yakima DoubleDown 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack is most likely the first and last bike rack I will ever own. When the box arrived at my door, it was stamped with Yakima's "Love it till you leave it" guarantee. Right out of the box, it was simple to assemble with easy to follow directions in both English and Spanish - and as I found out later, you can also download the assembly instructions via PDF document (in case they are misplaced) on Yakima's Web site. The tongue adapter allows you to connect the bike rack to a 2 inch receiver/hitch, but since I have a smaller, 1.25 inch mount, all I had to do was remove one screw to slide off the hard-shell outer casing. From assembly to mounting, it took me just over 20 minutes to get it all done. The best part, when bikes aren't attached, is that I can release a locking pin to access the rear hatchback door of my Ford Escape SUV. Also, the supportive upper arm folds down when the rack is not in use.
The only reason I did not give this product the full five star rating is because although the unit is secure, it's just a little top heavy when it is attached to the vehicle but not carrying any bikes. Finally, the DoubleDown 2-Bike Hitch Mount Rack is meant to support two bikes at a time - more realistically at all times. With two bikes on the rack, it prevents excess sway of the front handlebars and bike tires. Since I only have my bike to support, I have fixed this problem by purchasing a couple of nylon elastic stretch bands to help prevent this swaying motion. This has worked well. With two bikes on the rack, however, I don't believe I would have this issue.
To end on a positive note, as long as you have it mounted correctly and tightly, the rack with bike(s) attached handles well at highway speeds in excess of 70MPH. Overall this is a great product that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fairly priced hitch mount that is built to last.

(More customer reviews)I have never written a review for anything, but felt compelled to write one on this product. I've got an '03 Ninja 250. It's not the fastest thing on two wheels but is enough for my casual rides. The tail bag fits great. I agree with some reviews I have read that the amount of stuff you can jam into this bag are deceiving. With the expansion zippers unzipped, I can fit a laptop, change of work clothes and shoes, and still have room for more. Zipped up, the bag looks unobtrusive. I actually prefer the look of the bike with the bag on than off. You get a myriad of ways to fasten the bag to the bike. To keep the bag "unstealable" (sort of), I fished a flat strap through the bottom of the bag and around and under my lockable seat. Then used a bunji in the latches provided on the Ninja. It doesn't move an inch and yes, someone with a knife could cut the strap, but you'd really need to have a purpose on stealing the bag at that point.
If you are on the fence and a chronic review-reader as I am, just get the thing. You won't be disappointed.

I have had to fight chain alignment issues, a cracked fuel tank and whomever routed the muffler pipe along the bottom of the unit should be shot. I was able to weld the tank back up and keep the chain happy with some adjustment and shimming. Pulled the muffler and reworked the pipe to run it below the motor but above the frame so it wasn't getting smashed on everything. Assuming you would have just bought a new gas tank, reworking the exhaust is the only thing a regular user might struggle with.
Steering components look like they came from a lawnmower but that is fine. Front suspension looks weak with smallish bushings but decent travel. Rear shock has no dampening and the adjustment stuff on the side is basically fake. You could replace the shocks with decent ones all the way around for $200 in aftermarket parts. If your plan is to ride it hard this machine will be a parts pit, but for estate use I bet it will hold up ok.
The nuts on the machine all look like lock nuts but are not. Fake lock nuts. Interesting but irritating all the same. The moment you get this home I would check them all.
My advice, work within the machine's limitations and you will be ok, push the envelope and you would be better off with a used proper quad. I don't think I would ever buy one of these used. That could be a repair nightmare and by the time you fixed it up, it wouldn't be worth the parts you put in it ...if you can find them.

Great fit, Very nice face shield, seals great, has high quality feel and several detents for partially open, etc. Visor is a touch shorter than a full off road MX style helmet, which is good at road speeds. Up to 60 mph or so...buffeting is not bad. Faster, I would say be careful. Any visor is gonna start to pull your head around as the wind picks up...but yes...visor is worth having, really blocks the low sun morning/eve. Fogging is very minimal except when I rode a few times at 35 degrees out, even then, only when stopped.
For Dual Sport riders, this is a great helmet. I hated to pay 400 bucks for it but did and am very glad. The cheekpads are removable and for 40 bucks, you can get thinner/thicker ones for a PERFECT feel.
What pushed me over the edge to buy was the feel, specifically...large ear pockets inside this helmet=NO crushed ears. I hate that!
The only real quality competitor to this model is the Arai XD, which is also a very nice helmet, fit, etc. BUT...visor is longer and I bet grabs more air=more wind buffeting on the street. For buzzing around town either would be good though. I did try both the Shoei and Arai on, then settled on the Shoei becuase of price and the shorter visor. A bonus I did not expect but got with this, is MUCH more peripheral vision than any of my street helmets in the past!
Lastly, Simpson makes a helmet of this type but the quality is not up to par. I wanted to buy American but nothing about it matched the Arai or Shoei. Too bad. I used to buy only Simpson.

The Viair 30033 330P is certainly powerful enough for my little Civic wagon. I don't think it warrants the $170 price tag, but it does seem to be what it claims to be online. There's no way the cords are long enough for a bigger truck or RV. I advise installing a dedicated, hard wired compressor in a big vehicle. The carry case is a cheap nylon bag and the overall quality is high for China: low by my USA standards. You can get it delivered quickly though. Mine arrived next day.

I purchased the HV30 Portable Compressor because it promised rapid inflation of tires and blowup toys. The 140 pound pressure limit was certainly adequate. The price was right.
The Compressor comes with a hose that screws onto the compressor on one end and screws onto the tire valve stem on the other end. The compressor end thread was damaged. I had to use a pliers to tighten what should have been a hand tightened connection. Because the tire end screws on, air is lost as it is unscrewed after the tire is inflated. Most tire inflators come with a quick disconnect. Further, the compressor won't start against tire pressure if the connector hose is screwed on the tire valve. I had to start the compressor and then screw the hose onto the valve stem.
I haven't tried inflating a bike tire yet. I strongly suspect the air lost during unscrewing the connector hose will almost deflate the tire. This is just a great idea for inflating tires much faster than with pumps designed for much higher pressure limits but really poor engineering execution.

I didn't expect much from a small compressor, but this surprised me. I was able to add 10 PSI to my mini-van's large tire in about 1 minute. That is much quicker than other portable air compressors that I've used.
I would definitely recommend (and have already done so) product to friends and family.
Nice compact unit that comes in a case with velcro to attach to the carpet of the car so it does not slide around. Love it!
Was going to buy a 2nd unit for my other car, but now the price went up to $50 :(NOTE: I am unable to find the refill Slime cartridge for this unit, except for the Slime website for $13 plus $11 to ship, which is way expensive! Amazon, why don't you carry the replacement cartridge?

(More customer reviews)This is the third bike rack my wife and I have tried and for once a pleasant surprise. I own a Jeep Liberty with the spare tire mounted on the back. Most hitch mounted bike racks require you to purchase a hitch extension costing between $30 and $70 dollars to clear the spare. The mounting tube on this rack has two pre-drilled positions, one for clearing a spare, and one for bringing the rack closer if you don't have a rear mounted spare. Needless to say I was pleased not having to spend the extra money for the extension.
This is also a well built rack, not flimsy like many similarly priced racks I have seen. There is no need to provide extra stability with straps etc. to keep it from twisting.
This rack provides quite a bit of security as well. A locking pin is provided for attaching the section that swivels to the section mounted to the hitch, and one of the three mounting brackets has a locking knob.
Finally, the single tube design is a lot more adaptable than the racks that have two arms for holding the bike. We bought a Thule spare tire mounted rack for my wife's Jeep, and while it is a nice rack, we had a really rough time getting the frames of our mountain bikes to clear the two support arms. With the Swagman, it is no problem, much easier to load and unload. You can rest assured you will get your money's worth with this rack.

(More customer reviews)This stuff doesn't work as they say. MAYBE the wheels have a very slight more shine, but you'd need lab equipment to prove it to me. It does not repeal the brake dust, in fact, I think it makes it worse. I spent about 3 hours removing all 4 wheels, cleaning them, and applying the polish... only to find no benefit. I know this for sure since on one of the wheels I left one spot unwaxed so I could compare. After a week of driving, there is no difference between the waxed and unwaxed part of the wheel. When I went to wash the wheels I hit them with water and the unwaxed part of the wheel was no different from the waxed part. Save your time and money. (My wheels are factory painted which already look great. Maybe bare metal rims might be different, but for my wheels, this product is useless.)

(More customer reviews)This has worked out great for me! I have it installed on my Toyota Tundra 2" hitch and being able to drop the tailgate and move the bikes out of the way has proved invaluable in the 15 rides I have take the wife and kids on.
My youngest duaghter has a smaller frame (26") and I am using a Saris extension bar to be able to mount hers on the rack. Her bike sits a bit awkward but gets on easily.
I have a road bike (Canondale CAAD 9) and a Trek 1200 road bike, one has the cables over the main bar and the other unning underneath the main bar. The rubber straps simply slide "underneath" the cables where they run over the bar on the Trek 1200. On the CAAD 9, the cables are far enough apart that their is no issue and the bike fits nice and snug and does not mover or the fear of getting scratched. The fold down seat post clamp makes the whole thing very stable when using the 3 straps.
Just having the convenience of using my tailgate as a chair and being able to make adjustments or have the bikes out of the way or pulling out the grocery bags or anything else that has to go in the bed of the truck without having to remove the Yakima rack is a true blessing..
Overlall, It works great, too bad you can't get a 5th bike on it...In store prices for this Big Daddy is around $430-$460.. Amazon with Shipping (Amazon prime 2 day shipping) runs $363 at the time of this writing. The rack wighs 53 pounds to SHIP..(packaging etc)..

The Harley Davidson imprints on them create that 'really cool' look. But the great thing about them is what they do to make your bike stick to the road on those tight curves. Nice..!! I would like say they are quiet running but I can't hear anything above the wind noise or exhaust noise anyway. Would highly recommend these as a replacement tire for any Harley Davidson that you may ride. I would definately order them (Front & Back) as 'the' tires when that time comes around for my bike.

We were concerned since there was no way to secure the cover, it could be easily stolen. We spent more money buying metal cord and a lock to try to make it secure. Otherwise, it looks great on the car.

The package also lists their manufacturing origin as either the US or Taiwan, not mainland China, so no worries about getting any of the defective (and dangerous) stems that were manufactured there a couple years ago.
The quality of the chrome on the sleeves and caps appears to be top rate, and should withstand the elements for a long time. The sleeves are removable should a buyer desire it to suit their wheels.

(More customer reviews)Cover arrived with a broken buckle (only a few straps have buckles to begin with), a strap broke when putting it on for the very first time, absolutely no instructions on how to attach the straps, and after seeing numerous advice about if your trailer is on the line for two cover sizes (my trailer is 30 feet), get the larger size, this cover ended up being about 6 feet too long. I seriously wonder if they sent me the next biggest size instead of the 30'-32'. The logo for the "front" is at my hitch, and the logo for "back" is at my back bumper (both supposed to be near top). Came with bungee cords, which I assume you tie to the straps, but then had no idea what to do with them from there. Only thing on the other end of the bungee part was a flat handle looking piece, so there was no way to connect them under the trailer to straps on the other side. My wife and I, both in our 30's and in good health, spent about two hours trying to get this thing on the trailer. Granted, we had a little wind fighting us, but with no discernable way of attaching the straps other than just tie them to whatever you can, it was a nightmare.
So to recap, no instructions + faulty buckles/straps + vastly oversized = poor purchase.
I really wish there had been reviews for this product, because I purchased it just because it "looked good" and thought that all the straps would help with wind flapping. Hopefully this review will help others.

The mechanism for retaining the sockets works very well, and the slots on the socket fit the tie rod snug - not too tight, not too loose. The tool accepts a 1/2" socket drive. The only tool I found that was comparable in price was from Harbor Freight. The Lisle has no compromises in quality - this is a tool made for a full time mechanic at a very good price on amazon.com.

Lisle inner tie rod tool works on tie rods with inaccessible flats. Many inner tie rod end sockets do not have a complete hex on the full length of the socket. The rounded socket ends prevent access to the wrench flats. This tool utilizes five crows feet, to engage the wrench flats. Long socket slips over the tie rod end and connects to the crows foot. The inner tie rod can be removed and installed without removing the rack.

These tools are billed as an upgrade on the OEM tool kit, and that is exactly what they are.
If you've ever been forced to rely on an OEM tool kit, while on the side of the road for instance, you'll find them to be poor at best, and unusable at worst. If they actually work, they will round the bolts off and come close to stripping the screw heads out.
The Cruztools kit replaces that OEM garbage with a set of tool that actually works, and can get you out of a bind without the drawbacks of the OEM tools. This kit comes with extras you are not likely to see in the OEM kit. They will likely cost less than the OEM kit as well.
I bought these a while back, and tossed them in my GL1800A's saddlebag. I just pulled them out of the plastic wrap and put them to use for a parking lot repair, and they worked as advertised. I am very happy with them, and will be buying a set for any bikes I get.

(More customer reviews)I assume that Amazon will directly be selling this product at some point in the future (1/2008 right now), so I wanted to take the time to review this product.
I purchased this product from Costco for Christmas (well, the wife did for me) ... price was about $15. The model number was MS-4751WC. I can't see a difference betweeen mine and the MS-4751B advertised here.
Correcting some specs that are in the description ... Range is 5-99 PSI, Accuracy is +/- 1% + 0.1 PSI. Resolution is .1 PSI. The unit uses two replaceable batteries (CR2032). The unit is extremely well built ... with a heavy solid feeling that probably comes from its 1/2 pound weight! The unit is 5-1/4" Long by 2-1/2" Wide by 1-1/4" Thick. There is a bright white LED light in the tip of the unit that works well. Strange is that neither the users guide nor the unit itself tells you the model number ... it is only on the cardboard in the blister pack. Perhaps it is under the battery compartment that is held on by a philips screw. The actual display is 1-1/2 in diameter. The unit comes with a nice zippered storage case.
The unit allows you to program in front and rear tire pressures, and then will indicate if your pressure is either high or low. It looks more like a marketing gimmick, but I did program the front tires for one car, and the rear for my other car so I don't forget the inflation pressures that I use.
The unit needs to be held onto the valve stem for 2-3 seconds before the unit beeps to tell you that the pressure is recorded. It stays on the screen for 10 seconds and displays with a nice blue LCD backlight display. Unlike other Accutire gauges, this one makes a great seal between the gauge and the valve stem with absolutely no hissing or loss of air. This was on different types of tire valve stems.
Overall I like the unit, although it's a tad on the large size. It fits my hand well and the outside has a nice rubber cushion to allow you to have a good grip. A definite 5 star rating in my book.

Our of four caps only two were able to thread onto the valve without completely destroying the thread causing the caps to be completely worthless. I give the parts one star on the review only because the program will not allow me to submit without completing the field.

(More customer reviews)This tool is very high quality, and has an accuracy of 1 percent to over 100psi. Most analog (dial) pressure gauges (on consumer tire inflators) are only accurate to 2 or 3 percent. I really like the way this tool deflates - you simply squeeze the trigger halfway and it starts letting air out of the tire. Squeeze it all the way in, and it inflates. You really can't make it any simpler & easier than that!
Two things could be improved, but both are minor in my opinion. First, I wish the hose were just a bit longer (even if just another 2" to 4"). Second, while inflating, the pressure reads "00" until you stop, and then it will show the current pressure reading. This means you have to stop inflating periodically to see where you're at. Once you stop, the pressure is read and displayed very fast (about one second), so this is a pretty minor inconvenience, but is worth mentioning here.
Overall it feels very well built, is extremely easy to use, is accurate, and does exactly what it's designed to do.

The walls of the sockets are a little thick for some alloy wheels with small nut openings, but that's the price for a little extra strength. Lugnut sockets get more use than most impact sockets and need to have a little extra meat.

(More customer reviews)I install garage doors, and my impact wrench is my number one weapon. I have owned a 14.4 Milwaukee, 14.4 DeWalt, 18v DeWalt, and now this one. I had to send the Milwaukee back numerous times because of it's poor build quality. I have had motors die on the DeWalt due to its poor cooling design. There are small plastic fins in the motor which move air and keep the motor cool, and they have broken of on every DeWalt impact I have owned. I have been using the Hitachi for more than 4 months without a problem. I look actually look forward to using it. The battery stays secured to the drill, even after a four five foot fall. I laughed at the little light it comes with at first, but it has come in handy in dark garages. The torque is strong enough to pull the lug nuts of a wheel hub, and the battery life is stellar. One battery will get me through multiple double sized garage door installs. The DeWalt would kill at least too full batteries in only one install. It's safe to say that one Hitachi lithium-ion batter = 3+ DeWalt NiCads.
Another reviewer has mentioned a bad smell from the motor. All my impacts, drills, saws, and other power tools have gave off burning odor during the break-in of the tool. This is normal.
One other component of the impact which I enjoy is the pin. Unlike the DeWalt, the pin is designed to keep the socket secure when the pin of the impact is in line with the hole of the socket. The socket WILL come off of the impact with a little force unlike the DeWalt. With the DeWalt, the pin had to be compressed with a nail or screw in order to remove the socket.
To sum this review up... Buy the Hitachi.

(More customer reviews)I have over 100k miles on a BMW R1200GS. Cross country, deserts, asphalt, dirt, wet, dry. I've tried Tourance, Anakee 2, Tourance EXP, TKC80, and Battlewings.
This is the best handling tire, street or dirt, in my opinion. Tourance is prolly the favorite tire of GS owners and it does get about 500-1000 more miles in my experience. But the Tourance feels "greasy" out on the edges to me. Not confidence inspiring.
I think the Trail Attack is slightly better in the dirt too (though nothing tops a TKC-80 if you are doing lots of dirt). This is the best tire I've used in wet conditions too. Better than the Anakee 2 for sure.
Great tire; highly recommended.

I have 4 manual lift jacks and love em all. but my 300zx is close to the ground and every time i need to lift it i hate to do what needs to be done. No more. I place this little jack on the floor, i then use the light on the end to position the jack and press a button and lift. it does not really draw much from the battery but i use a charger to keep everything at 100%. I plan on ordering a second jack of this type to even the load on a big car. I find that the amount of wire supplied was great also. I noted right away that with my manual jacks it took me on average 5 to 10 min to lift a car. with this electric jack 2 - 5 min max.

The item does have a few minor CONS i think the manufacture should address. I would like to see this item ship with a carry case and a direct battery attachment with a lighter adapter on it. I have seen other makers of a simular design include a case and adapter. Just saying. ALso i added a steel cable to the wire leading to the jack and back to the control unit. I find i want to pull it from under the car once done. So this cable i added prevents me from damaging the control wires.

The size is a true fit, and I'm a fairly short gal so the pants were longer than I like, but not a problem. The vents are easy to open and let in just enough air to make me more comfortable. (More customer reviews)I bought Autosocks for my BMW because the wheel clearance was too tight to use chains. I can attest that they do indeed work as described, and that they really give amazing traction! Plus, it's pretty awesome getting looks from people who are jealous and confused at how your are able to drive on such a slippery road without chains. However, I am not sure I would recommend them overall...
My experience was that the Autosocks were very difficult to install. I'm sure it would have been easier to install them if my car had more clearance between the tire and the fender, but if that were the case I could have just used traditional chains anyway. I had to move my car probably 5-10 times as I scooted the autosock into place inch by inch before they were fully seated. This was about a 20 minute process, all of which was cold and filthy (in retrospect, I should have used my jack to lift the car to make installation easier). Then, although they did work well traction-wise, they did not stay in place well. They very quickly started to fall off, even though I bought the size that supposedly fits my tires... I had to limit my speed to 20 mph in order to not have them fly off my wheels.
Bottom line, they got me home through a 25 mile city commute, so I'm glad I had them, but they were a huge pain in the ass to use. I had to stop my car about 5 times on the way home to readjust the autosocks so they wouldn't fall off. Their claim that they center themselves on the tire automatically was not true for me... Also, after 25 miles of city driving, with some streets plowed and some not, they are pretty torn up. I'd say these are pretty close to a single-use product unless you are in a rare situation where they are driving only on clean fresh snow (never the case in the city). They are so filthy after the one use that I don't really want to keep them anyway.
Maybe you'll have a better experience than me if you get a better fit somehow? Who knows... As I said, mine were *supposed* to fit, and stay in place, but they didn't.

(More customer reviews)I got this based on other recommendations for my 8 ton trailer with 4 tires. It says 350 PSI on the unit. It took over 10 minutes per tire to pump them up from 80 psi to 94 psi. I wanted to go to 100 psi or more, but ran out of time.
I guess it is like most everyone else says for large, high pressure tires - Get a110 volt AC compressor and find a power source.

(More customer reviews)I purchased a pair of these pants recently and had the unfortunate luck to put them to the test. I was riding along @60mph on the interstate when suddenly everyone was braking. I hit my brakes, the rear wheel locked up, fishtailed, and threw me to the ground. Skidding along the pavement at 60mph, I can tell you that the knee and hip armor absorbed the impact and the rest of the pants stayed together very well, much better than what denim pants would have done. I think the waterproof aspect of these pants may have now been compromised, but that is just the excuse I will use to go ahead and order another pair.
What could have been a terrible accident with a destroyed knee and hips and thighs turned to roadrash hamburger, instead left me with only a slight scraped area on my forearm and a banged up shoulder, but hips and knees and all the walking bits are fine. I know there are more expensive pants out there and maybe they are even more amazing, but these pants saved my precious skin and I am going to buy a replacement pair.

I've used other on-valve stem gauges before, and these seem much better made, and likely to last longer as well as not crack. The not cracking point is important. Because these and other on-stem pressure monitors work by pressing open the valve in the tire stem, even a very small crack will cause the tires to deflate. Finally, they do what I purchased them for: letting me know if I have a low tire.

(More customer reviews)Dont bother with this one. The little light attachment is easy to lose \ break. The battery cover on it never stayed on. The 3 leds on the light provided no usable light. The inflator itself is very noisy, and very slow. It took me 20-30 minutes ot fill a 16" tire to 28psi. If you Hold the compressor up in the air it fills slightly faster(Probably more airflow around the pump.I've never used it to fill more than 35psi. I once left it running for 45 minutes filling a 18" tire to 32psi. The cars 12v outlet fuse blew and the compressor was insanely hot to the touch. Also the case isnt built well, its difficult to store the unit in its case, half the time you'll fumble with rewinding the lighter cord in order to make it fit the caseThe hose is NOT very long so you cant just plug it in and set it on the floor.Positives :-The gauge is alright, I'd prefer more numbers instead of the large gaps. -The power cord is long enough to plug it into the car and reach both wheels on one side of my car. -It's fairly small

(More customer reviews)This unit should provide the capacity needed to jump start most cars. However, there are a few things to note:
1. This unit does not have an automatic float charging system. This means you can't just leave it plugged in & expect it to maintain a full charge. Instead, you must periodically unplug it and replug it in (at least every few months). If you forget, you will not only not have a charged unit when you need it, but, the battery can become damaged as well if left to fully discharge. Chargers costing as little as $20 have this feature; There's no reason to exclude it on a unit like this.
2. This unit does not include a power cord. Instead, you will need to use an extension cord; it needs to be a single dongle version because of the design of the unit.
3. This unit does not include a storage compartment. Not a big deal, but, if you have some accessories you want to tote (like a power cord or inflation needle), you won't have a convenient place to store it.
I've also had two PowerStation units. One died within a year and the other still works (I think). Time will tell how the Stanley stacks up.

I have added the correct picture for what was shipped. After further evaluation, it appears this company substituted a cheap knock-off for the westward tire guage and ripped me off as the received product does not match the item on the Grainger website but their photo does. Beware of this company.

It is a heavy piece of shop equipment, very sturdy and well engineered. (More customer reviews)I bought this because i needed to fill RV tires at 95 psi. I ordered through Amazon (thankfully). Charged up for 1 1/2 days according to directions. When filling first tire I noticed the psi was not going up. So I tried it out on my car tire at 35 psi. Not only did it not work but it started smoking. It could just be the one I ordered but not wanting to take any chances I just returned it for my money back. In the end I just went to Lowes and bought a Black and Decker air compressor for $50 rated at 150 psi and it works great. It's not cordless but it plugs onto wall outlet or cigarette lighter. If you buy the Black and Decker remember to have an extension cord handy as the wall cable is 1ft long (no joke). Hope this helps the next person!

(More customer reviews)I've probably used these wheel chocks 15 to 20 times over the past 3 or 4 months for use with my 2004 Toyota Tacoma (~ 3800#s) with a 16' runabout motorboat/outboard (~800#s). These are a bit flimsy, they are hollow (no additional brace within the chock center as I've seen in other brands) and they're plastic (which doesn't have the traction of rubber chocks). My truck has been recently crushing these chocks and sliding a bit at the boat ramp. These are decent wheel chocks for very light duty, but this item is not good for boat ramp use.
